The puzzle

It is hard to know some days what is going on with the events in our lives. We know that things happen for a reason but we don’t always know what that reason is. I traveled to Utah for a genealogy conference two years ago as I was picking up travel size items I spotted a first aid kit and I thought I should buy it. This all seemed very strange to me, but after looking at it, walking away and then coming back to it I decided I should just buy it. Maybe I would need it while I climbed that mountain I intended to climb. I packed it in my luggage and thought nothing of it until I saw it at the end of my trip while I was packing. I thought well I guess I just wasted money on that, but I thought I do have it so it counts for trying to listen and obey. I went to get the train that would take me to the airport. While I was waiting with several others the train got there and the people were getting off and going to their vehicles. This lady gets off the train and somehow manages to fall and hit her head right in front of me. I just stood there trying to figure out how she did it. It was really strange. Anyway, she now had a head wound, which means blood and lots of it. I reached into my bag and pulled out my first aid kit and handed it to the person who had more sense than I did at that moment and they dressed her wounds. Just watching as somebody who was a nurse tenderly caring for the wounds struck me as if I were witnessing Heavenly Fathers love for all of his children. When we are hurt he tenderly cares for us individually by having the supplies that he needs readily available in place. That day he used me to address in part those needs that the lady had. Furthermore, because I was attentive to the situation I could see the larger picture of Heavenly Fathers love. Heavenly Father knew two weeks in advance where I was going to be and what that fellow traveler needed at that precise moment where our lives would intersect. I listened and obeyed. I had no clue where or when that little first aid kit would be needed. He knew. It was all part of his plan. He just allowed me to help him. There is no such thing as a coincidence, it is all in His plan and His timing. So if you are wondering why those prayers are not been answered yet, just know that he knows what you need and when you need it. Life is a puzzle that he can see all parts to. So trust him as he works in those things that we need when we need them.
