Reaching out to others

We don't learn in isolation

Hello again, I’ve wanted to write something for a while but haven’t committed my time to make it a priority until today, although I will say I have been reaching out to others in other ways. There are some words that stick out to me that need to be wrote out though and hopefully it helps someone else. Ive struggled with this particular thought and I suppose I have overthought and missed the point so I managed to get some gentle redirection. The complete thought is when you reach out to others with genuine concern you are doing what your Heavenly Father would do and you do not need to worry about if if was the right thing to do. Of course the inspiration was a lot less wordy than what I just wrote out. The point is that your heart was leading the way. Sometimes we are led never knowing how our day is going to work out, sure we can plan and try to do those things but really we are not always in charge of things. For example, we might plan to wake up early and get x, y and z done and it when it comes down to it multiple distractions later we maybe got x done. The beauty in that is that we stopped and listened along the way and maybe our x, y and z was not as important as the person that called and talked to you or the problem that you had to solve for someone else. Every now and again you are the person who has an issue that someone else can solve. We don’t learn in isolation, we learn from each other and we learn from the scriptures of some of the examples of others. At intervals you might be inspired to contact someone who might need to hear a message. The thing is that you might not know what is going on in their lives yet the thought persists that it is needed. So you look for something that you feel is the message that is needed and whether you know it or not it generally is. The spirit speaks and if you felt impressed to share it is what is needed. 1 corinthians 12: 25-27 25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. 26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honored, all the members rejoice with it. 27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. Of course it refers to us as the body of Christ, it didn’t say that we are limited to geographical boundaries (much easier today then in those times) it didn’t say we are limited to members of the church or not it just tells us that we are the body of Christ and Christ served anyone and everyone with love and compassion, and we need a lot more of that right now. We never know how we might help lighten someones load, reaching out to others.
