This one can be difficult to do at times. In a lesson on forgiveness time constraints and new training forced a teacher to overlook and disregard a powerful story of forgiveness because it was more important to read a quote from somebody than to hear personal tragedies. This may have been what the Savior was referring to when he would talk about the Sadducee’s and the Pharisees. So caught up in the rules and laws that the spirit completely escaped them. How many times do we rob ourselves of the spirits influence by insisting on the laws and rules, when someones heart is open? Obviously when Heavenly Father wants us to to grow he makes us uncomfortable. He knows we are capable of so much more, so much better. It is up to us to recognize those moments. Those moments can come from a child who is simply wanting some attention but we are too busy attending to other things that seem important at the time. What is important is loving others. That is really the only thing that matters, it is the greatest of the commandments.
