Everything in life has it’s opposite, pain and joy are certainly no exception. Sometimes the pain is prolonged and sometimes it is short lived. It always seems that the joy portion as great as it is never seems to stay nearly as long as the pain. I suppose if you are going through some painful times a scripture like this might make you think differently while experiencing the pain. Enough that you can be optimistic that it will go away at some point. I have had my fair share of disasters that all came with varying levels of pain. I think that with those soul crushing life changing disasters that we have a choice to make. I have seen people take their circumstances and turn it into an even worse situation by cutting off the power supply to Heavenly Father. Then there are those others that choose to walk through their fiery trials holding Heavenly Fathers hand and not only do they come out with smiles on their faces but there is a peace about them that can be felt by others. This experience then has the power to transform others around them. The ones who have gone through the sorest of trials and humbled themselves in the process have learned that the only way to deal with the pain is by giving it to Jesus Christ and letting him heal our hurts, our wounds. Failure on our part to do that will leave us with an empty heart and pain that is spread to everyone closest to you. There will always be things that affect us, sometimes deeper than we want them to. However, for each measure of pain we will be compensated.
