I know I am grateful for all those that have uplifted me when I have needed it. Sometimes it might be just a few words that have made a difference in a person’s life. I know I have experienced that. One time a derogatory slam became the catalyst for me. I was divorced and a friends boyfriend kept saying to me that I must think that I am made of gold. I suppose he was trying to tell me that I was too good. That there is no man with those high morals alive. My response to this jab was that’s right and any man worth his weight in gold will treat me appropriately and pay the price!! Not too much longer and I met my husband who is worth his weight in gold and does treat me appropriately came along. Not saying it was easy to date him for 8 months, but I was grateful that he knew who he was and had those high morals. My friend who saw me go through all this told me that she learned from me that there was good men out there, that they did exist. So when she dumped the boyfriend she knew what she needed to look for. Sometimes it doesn’t need to be words, sometimes it is just the example that you set!!
