Building ourselves

About 2 years ago or so I decided that things needed to change in my life and so I started on a path that included starting my own business, then changing my business, then getting a professional job. Simultaneously, I was getting healthy, losing weight, changing my outlook and look and increasing my knowledge about nutrition and DNA. This all started with changing my thoughts. All of this didn’t just happen, all of this started because I was willing to push off those old negative thoughts and start walking very closely with Heavenly Father. I was tired when I started this journey of what feels like a million miles. Now that I am over most of the struggles that held me down. I have realized that I am in charge as much as Heavenly Father allows me to be. This means that if I bring to Him my weakness he will show me my strength in it. Each one of us has strengths and weaknesses, they are two sides of the same coin really. The only one who can help us figure out which side is up is the person who created us. You can’t just change on the outside, change starts internally. Yes, external events can force some change, for instance, if you are injured in a car accident, you might have some damage that limits you physically. This can start a change within you that might make you negative because of pain, that is an external influence, but the choice to be negative is yours. Limitations may make it difficult but the focus should not be on our doctor told us we can’t do something anymore. We can still choose to do as we wish, but if we start with a thought that the doctor said you are never going to be right again, in certain circumstances then maybe we need to go to a higher authority. Like Heavenly Father who created us. We are our own architect in life with Heavenly Father by our side all things are still possible. In order to grow, pain is involved. I have grown without as much pain as I thought I would have because I trusted Heavenly Father to take care of those things that I could not and he did. Now that my trust in him has grown, I know that he can make things happen if I just believe. This trust in Heavenly Father comes from the many times that I had to sit back and realize that all things come together for the good of them that believe. It sometimes comes together in an unexpected but better way because we do not see what he sees. If we choose to not include Heavenly Father we are missing out on the panoramic view that he has, therefore we are using our small very finite minds without the inspiration and wisdom that he has, which is regrettable. Life is not meant to happen. Life is meant to be lived with intentional action. It is lived more fully when we look to God and live.
